Symptom-Based Panel

Mosaic Panel

About this product

The Mosaic Pathogen Panel™ is designed to test for viral pathogens associated with mottled or patterned leaf coloration, including mosaic patterns, light and dark green sectoring, and patterned distortion. This multiplex qPCR pathogen panel assay screens for Alfalfa Mosaic Virus (AMV), Arabis Mosaic Virus (ArMV), and Beet Curly Top Virus (BCTV) in a single test, reducing guesswork, cost, and diagnostic time.

  • Alfalfa Mosaic Virus
  • Arabis Mosaic Virus
  • Beet Curly Top Virus

The Mosaic Pathogen Panel™ is a multiplex molecular diagnostic assay developed to investigate viral causes of patterned discoloration, sectoring, and distorted leaf development that cannot be explained by nutrient imbalance or environmental stress alone. Mosaic-like symptoms are classically associated with viral infection but are frequently confused with deficiencies or physiological stress, delaying accurate diagnosis.

This panel simultaneously detects:

  • Alfalfa Mosaic Virus (AMV), a viral pathogen associated with mottled coloration, mosaic patterning, and growth irregularities.
  • Arabis Mosaic Virus (ArMV), linked to patterned chlorosis, leaf distortion, and overall plant decline.
  • Beet Curly Top Virus (BCTV), which can produce mosaic-like symptoms alongside deformation and stunting.

Using sensitive and specific qPCR technology, this panel provides reliable detection from a single sample with quick turnaround times. The Mosaic Pathogen Panel™ enables confirmation or exclusion of viral infection, supporting informed decisions related to plant removal, vector management, and facility biosecurity

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know to test your plants with us.

What is MF Detect™ Precision+?

MF Detect™ Precision+ is MyFloraDNA’s proprietary RT-qPCR (TaqMan-based) diagnostic technology designed for ultra-high sensitivity, reliability, and actionable pathogen detection.

What sensitivity does MF Detect™ Precision+ achieve?

MF Detect™ Precision+ can detect pathogen genetic material down to approximately 2 copies, enabling true early detection.

Why is ultra-high sensitivity important in plant diagnostics?

It allows detection of infections before visible symptoms appear, reducing pathogen spread, crop loss, and operational risk.

Is MF Detect™ qualitative or quantitative?

MF Detect™ is quantitative and reports CT values and, when applicable, estimated copy numbers.

What chemistry does MF Detect™ use?

MF Detect™ uses TaqMan RT-qPCR chemistry for high specificity and low background noise.

How fast are results delivered?

Typically within 1–3 business days from sample arrival.
