Alfalfa Mosaic Virus (AMV) is a species in the Alfamovirus genus, belonging to the Bromoviridae family. This pathogen is spread by aphids, which initially acquire the virus when feeding on infected plant phloem before transmitting it to other plants. Once plants are infected, there is no cure for mosaic viruses.

Our proprietary plant pathogen detection assay provides a high-throughput, low-cost solution for cannabis cultivators. MFDetect™ combines two established technologies to accurately identify pathogenic viruses, like Alfalfa Mosaic Virus.
