Detect Alfalfa Mosaic Virus (AMV) using our industry-leading assays. Our MFDetect™ technology, a high-throughput, low-cost solution for Cannabis and Hemp, combines two established technologies to accurately identify viruses like AMV in Cannabis samples, with rapid turnarounds and cost-efficient prices.
Alfalfa Mosaic Virus (AMV) is a species in the Alfamovirus genus, belonging to the Bromoviridae family. This pathogen is spread by aphids, which initially acquire the virus when feeding on infected plant phloem before transmitting it to other plants. Once plants are infected, there is no cure for mosaic viruses.
Our proprietary plant pathogen detection assay provides a high-throughput, low-cost solution for cannabis cultivators. MFDetect™ combines two established technologies to accurately identify pathogenic viruses, like Alfalfa Mosaic Virus.

MF Detect™ Precision+ is MyFloraDNA’s proprietary RT-qPCR (TaqMan-based) diagnostic technology designed for ultra-high sensitivity, reliability, and actionable pathogen detection.
MF Detect™ Precision+ can detect pathogen genetic material down to approximately 2 copies, enabling true early detection.
It allows detection of infections before visible symptoms appear, reducing pathogen spread, crop loss, and operational risk.
MF Detect™ is quantitative and reports CT values and, when applicable, estimated copy numbers.
MF Detect™ uses TaqMan RT-qPCR chemistry for high specificity and low background noise.
Typically within 1–3 business days from sample arrival.
